ControlPlane at KubeCon NA '24 Salt Lake City

ControlPlane is excited to announce that our team is heading to KubeCon North America 2024 (opens in a new tab), the premier event for cloud native communities! The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) flagship conference will run from November 12th to 15th in Salt Lake City, Utah. KubeCon gathers leading technologists and open source professionals to advance the education of Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies. KubeCon pulls together cloud native and open source engineers, developers, and architects to swap ideas, tackle challenges, and spark the next big things in the Kubernetes ecosystem.
Open Source Security On Tap
In conjunction with KubeCon, don't miss our exclusive "Open Source Security On Tap" (opens in a new tab) event co-hosted with our friends at Kusari and ActiveState. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, November 12th, from 6 to 9:30 PM MST at Squatters Pub Brewery, located at 147 West Broadway, Salt Lake City. This community fiesta promises an evening packed with engaging discussions, great drinks, and delicious food. Expect a deep dive into the latest software supply chain security trends with Kubernetes while enjoying tacos, quesadillas, and a showcase of cutting-edge security solutions. Whether you're coming straight from SigstoreCon or simply passionate about open source security, this is a gathering you won’t want to miss, so book your space now (opens in a new tab).
Open Source Security CTF Challenge
ControlPlane will also host the Capture The Flag (CTF) (opens in a new tab) event at KubeCon NA. It’s a thrilling opportunity to challenge yourself in an engaging security competition. Participants can play three increasingly treacherous and demanding scenarios to bushwhack their way through the dense jungle of cloud native security. The CTF is available to all in-person KubeCon + CloudNativeCon North America attendees. We will host an introduction session on Wednesday the 13th and then the real event on Thursday the 14th of November. All times and locations for both can be found on the schedule (opens in a new tab).
Salt Lake City Must-See
Since you are heading to Salt Lake City for KubeCon, you might as well see what else this lovely area offers. At its centre lies Temple Square (opens in a new tab), featuring the iconic Salt Lake Temple and headquarters of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Utah State Capitol (opens in a new tab) stands close by, providing panoramic cityscape views. For those drawn toward nature, the Great Salt Lake (opens in a new tab)—the Western Hemisphere's largest saltwater lake—presents unique landscapes and wildlife. Liberty Park (opens in a new tab), one of Salt Lake City’s historic parks, is a beautiful place to take a leisurely walk or picnic. And finally, The Natural History Museum of Utah (opens in a new tab) also presents captivating exhibits on local geology, palaeontology, and Native American history. These sights offer a glimpse into the natural beauty, culture, and history that define Salt Lake City.
